I wanted to share what I had learned through my work about local government with my friends and neighbors who care deeply about their community but may not know how to influence decision-making that happens in opaque spaces of bureaucracy. I believe data and technology for public systems can be more participatory, and that the more we know about how our data is collected and used, and the more we can help to build better systems.
