In 2024, I re-launched Civic Source to focus on how data justice can help communities reclaim control over their data from harmful systems. The new iteration also contains a section called Dispatch from the Garden which highlights lessons learned in the practice of building out popular education for data justice. Overall, the newsletter serves as a space for bringing together practice-based research from my work in communities with academic theory that build toward our liberation from the oppressive system of mass data extraction.
